Mkhitaryan trains with Manchester United teammates in Istanbul
The Manchester United squad were in good spirits as the Reds trained at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Wednesday night before the Europa League meeting with Fenerbahce, Manchester United website reports. Armenia’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan – who was included in the 21-man squad by Mourinho, was also seen training with his teammates in the stadium.
During the previous match with Fenerbahce Mkhitaryan remained on the bench. It was a training session which featured the fit-again Phil Jones and Anthony Martial, who could both be in contention for a return to action on Thursday evening after injuries.
Indeed, Jones is yet to feature this term. After some stretching and running exercises, the Reds split into two groups and appeared to enjoy themselves as they took part in the popular ‘boxes’ drill where a couple of players try to win the ball back as the rest of the group knock it around in a circle.
