There are new investors in the diesel oil and banana markets: Vardan Harutyunyan
“It’s been one month since I’m no longer a businessman. I’ve been a representative of the business for 25 years, that is large business, and I know very well the problems and issues which must be solved for entrepreneurships, in order for the field to open up. Therefore, we will take steps, you will see. I will struggle against the shadow economy, I will struggle, you will see,” Vardan Harutyunyan, President of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, told reporters today.
According to V.Harutyunyan, after the statement by the PM there are new investors in diesel oil and banana markets, “1-2 persons are already importers. There was no any hindrance from tax-customs bodies.”
Asked if they will be able to make oligarchs pay their taxes properly, Harutyunyan said: “Yes, we will be able.” “If there is shadow, I have to know its place. Very short period of time is needed for that. After that short period, when results of the studies will be clear, we will push a serious fight against the shadow economy,” he said.
Harutyunyan also mentioned the State Revenue Committee is recruiting professional specialists.
