Why did Donald Trump defeat Hillary Clinton?—Arman Navasardyan clarifies
“These were rather interesting elections in the sense that both internal and external political factors were important,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan told reporters today, touching upon the presidential elections in the U.S.
Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States on Tuesday. Donald Trump garnered 279 electoral votes, while Clinton earned 218.
A.Navasardyan stated that H.Clinton called and congratulated D.Trump on his victory in case, when Trump stated that if he’s defeated he won’t only congratulate H.Clinton, but will appeal to the court, where secrets may be uncovered, that specialists were predicting second Watergate.
“Quite the contrary was recorded, that until yesterday the most experienced political specialists were telling about it, that Clinton will probably win, however, the contrary phenomenon occurred. This speaks of the fact, that one shouldn’t make predictions in politics and diplomacy.
He noted that Trump was repeatedly stating that he’ll cooperate with V.Putin, he should have changed foreign policy vectors,
“It should have acted against him, but the opposite happened. Firstly, I consider, Clinton had a fatal slip, when she gave Fox News the comment that she will become the president, and will eliminate Russia and its satellites, i.e. Armenia was included in it as well. It lasted for 2 hours, then the information was removed, but it remained in peoples’ memories. Special services had their role as well, they issued letters, facts, which had a rather bad implication on Clinton. Likewise things aren’t being forgiven, Trump’s team perfectly played on these shortcomings. I consider, no matter anti-Russian moods are existent in the USA today, an ordinary citizen doesn’t seek for a third World War.”
