It’ll be better if Hranush Hakobyan applied to Diaspora Armenians for allotting 5 dollars once in two months: Vardan Devrikyan
Vardan Devrikyan, deputy head of Literature Institute, considers that allotting AMD 1000 to the army should be an idea of national duty. He told reporters today that he is enthusiastic about the statement made by Vigen Sargsyan, “Philanthropy, taking some step, despite material condition of our people, raises a person, makes him noble. I should say that despite our social condition, number of pensioners and minimal salary, in any case, AMD 1000 is a benchmark step.”
Moreover, he calls on Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan to apply to the Diaspora Armenians, “It would be proper that Hranush Hakobyan applied to Diaspora Armenia, that they allotted USD 5 once is two months. It should particularly oblige citizens with dual citizenship, as having an Armenian passport isn’t only an external accessory.
To the observation how moral it is begging for 5 dollars in case, when there are oligarchs in Armenia, who have everything and how sure people may be that the money will be directed to the army, he replied, “In any case, I’s not the money to take. I don’t believe that money, gathered for a dead soldier, will be taken.”
To the question whether he’s ready to tell oligarchs to sell their cars with the same enthusiasm and then gather 5 dollars from the Diaspora, he said, “Yes. If it’s their property, we can’t say let’s dispossesses those people. As for the state system, I agree that firstly belts of officials should be tightened…I may say more: reduction of workplaces obtains a schizophrenic nature in our country, however, we see that allocations for comfort and other issues of other officials aren’t being decreased.”
