Gas price reduced, new tariffs to come into force January 1

The issue of defining consumer tariffs of natural gas by Gazprom Armenia was discussed at the November 25 session of the Public Services Regulatory Commission. The PSRC decided to set the following tariffs for natural gas sold by Gazprom Armenia to consumers.

According to #1122-N November 3, 2016 decree of the Government, the gas tariffs for socially vulnerable families is set at annually: 100,000 AMD/1000 cubic meter  (including VAT) for up to 600 cubic meter 139,000 AMD/1000 cubic meter (including VAT) for more than 600 cubic meter.

The tariff for agricultural businesses involved in greenhouse activities, the price is set at: For the period of November 1 – March 31 – 212USD equivalent AMD for each 1000 cubic meter gas (including VAT) For the period of April 1 – October 31 – 139,000 AMD/1000 cubic meter (Including VAT) for monthly up to 10 thousand cubic meter consumption, and 242.1USD equivalent AMD for each thousand cubic meter gas for monthly more than 10 thousand cubic meter consumption including VAT).

For individuals involved in processing, dairy, canned product and beverage businesses and individuals the tariff is set 212 USD equivalent AMD for each thousand cubic meter gas (including VAT).

For consumers using monthly up to 10 thousand cubic meters, with an exception of the abovementioned 1-3 point consumers, the tariff is set 139,000 AMD/thousand cubic meter (including VAT).

For consumers using more than 10 thousand cubic meters monthly, with an exception of the abovementioned points 1-3 consumers, the price is set at 242,1 USD equivalent AMD for each thousand cubic meter (including VAT).

The tariffs will come into force starting January 1, 2017. Currently, the tariff for consumers using up to 10 thousand cubic meters monthly is set at 146700 AMD/thousand cubic meter (including VAT).
