Installation of autonomous solar stations facilitated in Armenia
All necessary conditions are created in Armenia for the installation of low capacity autonomous solar stations. After legislative changes, individuals and enterprises can now install up to 150 kW solar stations for their own use, produce power and sell the surplus to the “Electric Networks of Armenia” company.
The Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources informed not only no license is needed for the operations, but the entire process is also free from taxation.
According to Hayk Badalyan, head of the renewable energy and energy efficiency department of the ministry, the PSRC has recently approved the form and process of the agreement on engaging in the operations. In order to join the network, the consumer simply needs to apply. The agreement is inked based on the application.
