German Constitutional Court rejects complaint regarding Armenian Genocide recognition

The Constitutional Court of Germany rejected Turkish lawyer Ramazan Akbashi’s complaint on cancelling the Bundestag decision on recognizing the Armenian Genocide, Doghan reports. “The Constitutional Court gave the following response:

“The Constitutional Court didn’t accept the complaint for study. The plaintiff hasn’t presented enough grounds regarding the violation of fundamental rights or equivalent to it.” We already have the Court’s ruling,” Akbash said.

The German Parliament recognized the Armenian Genocide on June 2, 2016.
