Criminal case launched on lethal carbon monoxide poisoning of soldier
A criminal case has been launched in the military investigative committee on the death of serviceman Garegin Argamanyan, the Investigative Committee informed. The body of Private Garegin Argamanyan, serviceman of the radio platoon of the communication unit, was discovered around 07:30 on February 17, in the battery charging warehouse of a permanent deployment location of a military base of the Defense Army.
According to initial reports, the Private died as result of carbon monoxide poisoning of the diesel generator. A criminal case has been launched on causing severe consequences by negligence.
An investigation is underway. An autopsy will be carried out, as well as a search and investigation of the scene.
