Karabakh’s being left out of negotiations isn’t my fault: Vartan Oskanian

“Karabakh’s being left out of negotiations isn’t my fault, I was the Deputy Minister, Azerbaijan has set conditions, Lisbon agreement had been recorded so that content of negotiations was changed, i.e. the guilty party is Azerbaijan. And one shouldn’t blame anyone,” Vartan Oskanian, former Foreign Minister, Head of “Consolidation” party, member of Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian alliance, told at today’s press conference, adding that he is ready for criticism linked to the fields under his jurisdiction.

He stated he is ready to correct his mistakes and assured that he expressed his discontent to the president regarding any phenomenon that would impact on Armenia’s international authority.

Ohanyan enumerated his achievements—construction of Iran’s gas pipeline, defense of relations with Turkey, engagement of big investment, reduction of external debt and etc.

“There was peace, economic growth throughout those years and my experience allows me to take part in this process,” Oskanian said.
