Armenia receives great discounts for Black Sea ferry freights
The transportation process of Armenian products through the Black See ferry can be carried out at lower tariffs, Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan told reporters after the Government session, commenting on the results of PM’s talks held in Georgia.
“We don’t have concrete results yet and will inform about the talks soon. During the meeting with the Armenian community, the Prime Minister said that there will be an alternative to Upper Lars, and let’s not focus only the Abkhazian railway or a road through Ossetia.
The alternative is also the ferry which is a realistic alternative. The ferry transportations currently are regularly operating and we have received great discounts for the abovementioned transportations,” the Minister said.
He stated that Armenia also raised the issue of discounts in connection with railway directions, and expressed hope achievements will be recorded on this path as well.
“Long time is needed in order to achieve results. We hope there will be results,” he said.
