Armenia, Philip Morris International to start scientific-technical cooperation

Philip Morris International representatives met with Armenia’s Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan to discuss the further cooperation on March 1, press service of the Ministry told.

On March 2, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry and PMI according to which the sides aim to establish Research and Developments Center in the form of Innovation hub.

The Center will operate at two major directions: Research, Innovation and Educational Programs. By this memorandum the sides will unite their efforts to assist creating rapid prototypes within the framework of the R&D Center.

The PMI representatives stated that Armenia has a great experience of international cooperation aimed at establishing innovative and research centers.

The PMI is deeply interested in establishing a long-term cooperation with Armenia’s Government and public sector.

The vision is to establish and conduct inter-sectoral cooperation with research centers and local companies in the fields of mutual interest aimed at making innovations.
