Best player award is great honor, but not priority: Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitaryan says it is a great honor to receive the best player of Armenia award, but doesn’t find it to be priority. “For me this award wasn’t unique anyhow. I am happy to become Armenia’s best football player once again.

I think this award will further give me power to try and do my best in order to receive the award again,” Mkhitaryan told reporters. Speaking about competition, Mkhitaryan said there always is competition.

“It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve received the best player of Armenia title. All my teammates are my friends and my competitors. I try to keep the name of Armenia high in both England and globally.

It’s important for me that as much possible people know about Armenia. It is a great honor for me to become the best football player of Armenia, however it’s not a priority goal,” he said.
