Armenia triumphs over Kazakhstan in 2018 World Cup qualifier
The World Cup 2018 qualifier ArmeniaKazakhstan match took place in Yerevan’s Vazgen Sargsyan Republican stadium, with Armenia defeating Kazakhstan 2:0.
In the very first minute of the match Armenia’s Gevorg Ghazaryan suffered an injury, which was later revealed to be quite serious. He was substituted by Tigran Barseghyan. Armenia had an obvious advantage in the game.
No goals were scored in the first half-time. Kazakhstan attempted to make advances but failed. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, captain of the Armenian national football team, scored the first goal of the match in the 73rd minute.
Just 3 minutes later Araz Ozbilis doubled the score. Armenia’s next match will be held on June 10 against Montenegro.
