Armenia’s weightlifter Simon Martirosyan becomes Europe’s Champion
Member of Armenian weightlifting team, silver medal winner at Olympic Games Simon Martirosyan became Europe’s Champion.
Simon Martirosyan won small gold medal by lifting 184 kg in the snatch exercise. In the clean and jerk exercise he lifted 230 kg, becoming also as a small gold medal winner.
With a total of 414 kg Martirosyan became a Champion of Europe. Armenia’s another representative Samvel Gasparyan lifted 165 kg in the snatch exercise, whereas 210 kg in the jerk exercise. With a total of 375 kg he took the 7th place.
