Armenian border soldiers detained six foreigners overnight May 7 – May 8 in a thwarted attempt to illegally cross the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. From which side the foreigners attempted to cross into which country is yet unclear.
Armenia is interested in the preservation of the Russian military base in the country, President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian said in an interview with Echo of Moscow radio station.
The State Revenue Committee (SRC) denied the report published by the Armenian Hraparak daily according to which SRC Chairman Vardan Harutyunyan has submitted resignation application.
