The United Kingdom has appointed Alan Andranik Gogbashian – a British diplomat of Armenian descent – to serve as Her Majesty’s new ambassador to Armenia.
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian will depart on a working visit to Spain.
Utair flight UTA880, scheduled to depart from Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport to Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport on August 12, has been delayed due to a “technical problem discovered on board” the Boeing 737, the Civil Avation Committee of Armenia said in a statement.
