Within the framework of the fact-finding mission, launched by the Office of the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Artsakh, a thorough research and analysis of the cases of criminal encroachments, committed by the Azerbaijani armed forces against the civilian population of Artsakh, for the 27.09.2020-04.10.2020 time period, have been conducted. The results are presented below:
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has asked former servicemen who were demobilized within the last 1 year to voluntarily join the military amid the Azerbaijani attacks.
On the initiative of MEP Loucas Fourlas, 48 members of the European Parliament sent a letter to the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell calling on the head of the EU diplomacy to undertake meaningful actions against the Azerbaijani aggression on Artsakh and Armenia, the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) said on Facebook.
Russia continues contacts with Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran over the Nagorno Karabakh issue, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with the representatives of the Association of European Businesses, reports RIA Novosti.

On September 27, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan launched a large-scale offensive against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), targeting also peaceful civilians, civilian infrastructures, as well as reporters providing coverage of the events. Artsakh presidential spokesperson Vahram Poghosyan says the Defense Army has already delivered the “powerful strikes” on Azerbaijani military targets and the “targets were successfully hit.”
The Artsakh Ministry of Defense reported on October 5 an additional 21 servicemen who were killed in action amid the Azerbaijani offensives.
