Hargreaves: Mkhitaryan is Manchester United’s best player
The Armenian was incredible once again in the FA Cup fifth round tie against Blackburn Rovers and has earned praise as the side’s standout performer.
He played an inch-perfect pass to help find Marcus Rashford in the first-half who drew Man United level following Danny Graham’s early lead for Owen Coyle’s side at Ewood Park.
Speaking after the game, Hargreaves claimed Mkhitaryan just needed more space to be creative.
“In my opinion he’s United best player,” he said.
“Ibrahimovic has been exceptional but I think it’s him and (Paul) Pogba that are the future.
“He just needs the space to be creative.”
After being left out of the first-team earlier this season, he has returned to the side as one of our most important players, and Mourinho deserves praise for his management of the Armenian’s talent.
Mkhitaryan has been causing plenty of problems for our opponents, especially while played behind the striker and his abilities fit in line perfectly with the style of player Mourinho is looking for at Old Trafford.
