48 MEPs call on Azerbaijan to immediately stop aggression against Artsakh
On the initiative of MEP Loucas Fourlas, 48 members of the European Parliament sent a letter to the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell calling on the head of the EU diplomacy to undertake meaningful actions against the Azerbaijani aggression on Artsakh and Armenia, the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy (EAFJD) said on Facebook.
“The missile and aerial attacks against the indigenous population in Nagorno Karabakh, including the capital Stepanakert, forced civilians to hide inside shelters. We also call you, High Representative Borrell, to exercise high pressure to halt any interference by Turkey, de facto destabilizing yet another neighbouring region, the South Caucasus”, the letter says.
The MEPs, who signed the letter, call on the Azerbaijani army to immediately stop the aggression against the civilian population of Nagorno Karabakh.
