President Trump was sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts on the steps of the US Capitol in Washington. Thousands of Trump supporters who travelled across the country lined the streets to witness the occasion.

The inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump has kicked off in front of the Congress. The 45th US President will pronounce the oath text with his hand on the Bible. Chief Justice of the United States John Roberts will pronounce the text first, and Trump will follow him. John Roberts was responsible for the 44th US President Barack Obama’s inauguration.

Noting that last year the military service of our troops coincided with the period of time when in April they had to face the offensive of the adversary and defended Fatherland with honor, the President underscored that after decommissioning they still remain the soldiers of Fatherland regarless of where and in what area they continue their activities.

Gladys Berejiklian is set to become Premier of Australia’s most populous state, New South Wales, according to Huffington Post Australia. Berejiklian declared herself a candidate after Mike Baird resigned from the post on January 19. Baird has endorsed her as his successor.

Knar Yemenijyan, the last survivor of the Armenian Genocide passed away aged 107 in Canada on January 19. Yemenijyan was born in 1909 in Kayseri. Her entire family was able to escape the Armenian Genocide.

There is no any guarantee that this year import volumes will be recovered and reach 2 billion m3. Of course, purpose of tariff reduction by “Gazprom Armenia” was consumption increase, however, Karen Karapetyan himself isn’t sure that gas supplier will reach that goal.
