Russians want to close the border between South Caucasus and Middle East

The Russian National Democratic Party, known with its nationalistic ideology, has launched signature collection campaign for the purpose of adopting visa regime for Russia and South Caucasus with Middle Eastern countries.

The initiators of the campaign refer to Putin’s announcement stating that 100,000signatures may be become a bill for Duma. If they collect 100,000 signatures, they may submit a draft bill to Duma.

The petition message says that the massive and uncontrollable immigration undermines the European civilization values, including those in Russia. They claim that the inflow of cheap and damping policy of labor force are occupying the labor market, which is weak without it too. This results in social tension, which is resulted from the lack of border between Russia and the South of former Soviet Union.

The initiators of the petition claim that instead of resisting immigration the Russian government has adopted legal amendments enabling citizens of former Soviet States get Russian citizenship easily. This group claims that they have an impression the Russian government want to replace their citizens with cheap labor, who will be willingly voting for Putin and his party.

Russia is always inc conflict with neighbors: they claim China has ambitions for Siberia, peace agreement failed to be signed with Japan in 1945 as Japan is accusing Russia in occupying the Kurile islands, the war of national ideology is still going on with Ukraine to the extent that Ukraine already prefers buying gas from Germany, they have armed forces in Near Dnestr thus being in conflict with Moldova, they made war with Russia in 2008, which was the first war of Russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union, in the West Russia has conflicts with Baltic countries, and globally it is bad relations with the US and EU. Russia was in more or less better relations with Middle East countries, Armenia and Azerbaijan. However the Russian nationalists want to force Russia against these countries too.

As for migration, it is a result of the fact that most of Russians cannot accept the idea that they have to broom the floor or clean up snow with shovel. Workers form Tajikistan went on strike for several days and the city was lost in garbage. Russians don’t like construction either because it is a hard job. Construction is mainly done by Armenians and Uzbeks. Azeris are in trade business. A solid part of the Russian GDP is generated by immigrants from South Caucasus and Middle East. They should thank these people rather than calling them parasite. Next to such opposition the incumbent government of Russia seems to be an angel. Maybe this is their goal; have an opposition compared to which they are more tolerant and altruistic.
