Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh to work on signing military cooperation agreement
Foreign Ministry of Armenia will jointly work with the Foreign Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh on signing a military cooperation agreement. President Serzh Sargsyan announced this during the National Security Council session. “It is necessary to have the text of the agreement, conduct relevant discussions and send it to the National Assembly”, the President noted.
Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia will fulfill its duty to ensure the safety of the population of Nagorno Karabakh. “We also have the legal right, because we are a party of the 1994 ceasefire agreement. In addition to the armed forces, other agencies are doing their work. Contact is established with our partners in the international organizations. However, as I have said many times, we have to solve our problems by not underestimating anyone’s help. Now, The Defense Minister and head of the General Staff will report the issue from the military point of view, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will report the diplomatic efforts, and then we will take appropriate decisions, “President Serzh Sargsyan said.
