Why don’t we Want to Notice Reports on Beheading of Armenian Soldiers: Vladimir Solovyov’s Reflection to NK Conflict

Vladimir Solovyov, well-known Russian presenter of TV talk shows, publicist and social figure, touched upon developments in Nagorno Karabakh on Vesti FM.

“We didn’t say, who’s initiator of recent escalation of Nagorno Karabakh tension. We don’t say,” Solovyov said, stating that Russia implements dual standards regarding Nagorno Karabakh.

“Why doesn’t Azerbaijan hold direct negotiations with Karabakh. Presently we lose both sides. And why don’t we want to observe recent reports on beheading of Armenian soldiers? Why don’t we want to notice footages, telling about torturing of Armenian hostages…I realize, it’s important to take into consideration interests of each side, and doesn’t the truth, as a party, interest anyone?” he said, adding that a clear answer should be given to what had happened.

“Has beheading been recorded or no? By which side? No blitzkrieg was a success. We’ll lose our last real friend…Do you imagine what anti-Russian moods currently dominate in Armenia? And there is no need to imitate, that Azerbaijan will substitute Armenia,” Solovyov said, stressing that the accumulated facts should be introduced to international instances.
