The South Caucasus is not a priority for the US: The Armenian interests are mostly best aligned with Iranian interests

Dr. Arthur Khachikian, Stanford PhD in Political Science had an interview with Arta Moeini, Research Director, Institute of Peace and Diplomacy. They talked about the US administration priorities, the war in Ukraine, the US relations with Russia, Iran and China, the situation in the South Caucasus, etc. He particularly mentioned:

-Trump believes he can end the war in Ukraine and resolve the war in Gaza

-What are the foreign policy priorities for Trump’s administration (in the South Caucasus)?

-The South Caucasus is not a priority for the US administration: Armenia is not on the agenda.

-The main priority of the Trump administration is China.

-In the US administration, some believe that Armenia can be used as Georgia for a while or as Ukraine today to blood Russia’s nose.

-We don’t care about Ukrainians, but about blooding Russia.

-The US interventionism destabilizes regions and pushes Russia, Iran, Turkey, India and China together.

-The country, whose interest is mostly best aligned with Armenia’s interest is Iran.
