Nobody Attempts to Understand Zhirinovsky or Comment on his Remarks: Tigran Balayan

Armenian Foreign Ministry considers senseless seriously reflecting to the statements of RF State Duma MP Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Tigran Balayan, Spokesman at RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told 168.am, reflecting to the statement by RF MP Vladimir Zhirinovsky on recent dramatic developments in Yerevan.

Yesterday, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, RF State Duma MP, leader of Russian Liberal-Democratic Party, stated that “I don’t give a damn to Armenia as well…”

“Speeches will be regularly heard there. It’s a small country, amid mountains, between Azerbaijan and Turkey, no perspectives, no economy. 1 million Armenians have remained there, and in the world there are 6 million Armenians. They all have left. They are in Lebanon, Iran, Russia, France, USA, in the whole world. There is no place to live there, only mountains. Naturally, different groups will do villainies to one another,” Zhirinovsky said.

To the reporter’s observation that Russia has a military base in Armenia, he gave the following reply, “For the God’s sake, they’ll spit on us, we’ll withdraw our troops…They’ll fall on our feet to return the base. That base is their salvation, otherwise, Turks and Azerbaijanis will destroy them. That’s why we shouldn’t bother of Armenia.

They’ll never refuse us, as it’ll be their end. Azerbaijan will immediately take Karabakh, Turks will help them. For 300 years Queen Ekaterina has saved them.” To the question how will Armenian FM reflect to such remarks, Tigran Balayan replied, that nobody attempts to comment or understand his words. “It’s been a long time that nobody attempts to understand the logic of his statements, there is no interest either,” Tigran Balayan said.

In his qualification, statements by such politicians don’t need any comment. “They’ve consumed themselves and attempt to attach attention with likewise statements,” Armenian FM Spokesman Tigran Balayan said.
