An Initiative of Exceptional Importance: Expert on Establishment of “Energaimpex” Company

Establishment of “Energaimpex” Company to export Iranian gas through the territory of Armenia should be assessed as an initiative of exceptional importance regarding provision of quite a new quality to the country’s economic and political status. Vardan Voskanyan, expert on Iranian issues, wrote on his Facebook page.

Note, the Armenian Government has made a decision to establish “Energaimpex” state company with 100% shares which will enable to buy, import and export gas from Iran.

“With this step Armenia, in fact, Armenia clearly sends a signal, that in the field of energy it won’t be satisfied only with the role of transmitting high-voltage electricity channel, but through cooperation with neighbor and friend Iran it’ll not only raise our energy security but, will considerably improve Armenia’s geopolitical positions in international arena as well.

Another not less crucial circumstance is that through likewise programs, in fact, methodically the cliché of observing our own country as a deadlock is being broken, which in many cases is one of the main reasons of our pessimism rooted in us,” the expert wrote.
