RPA Executive Body Meeting Nominates Karen Karapetyan as Candidate for Prime Minister

The Executive Body meeting of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) took a decision to nominate Karen Karapetyan as a candidate for the prime minister of Armenia, RPA parliamentary faction member Artak Zakaryan told the reporters after the Executive Body meeting.

“There was one issue on the agenda. The President of Armenia delivered a speech which will be publicized soon. Karen Karapetyan introduced his future plans which will also be publicized. Next procedures will take place according to the timetable defined by the Constitution,” Zakaryan said.

He added that Hovik Abrahamyan who has submitted his resignation also delivered a speech.

To the question if President Sargsyan has accepted the resignation of Abrahamyan, Zakaryan gave a positive answer. Referring to Hovik Abrahamyan’s future activities, the Republican MP mentioned he will have much to do in the future.
