After elections blood will be shed for sure and it will be implemented by Vova Gasparyan: Ara Papyan
“I consider reappointment of Edward Nalbandian rather incorrect. Obviously, this occurred as a result of external pressure, as everybody knows—Edward Nalbandian serves Russia’s interests. Vigen Sargsyan was initially planned to be appointed Foreign Minister, however, he was appointed Defense Minister. By Nalbandian’s appointment it became obvious that our sovereignty is essentially altered and restricted, as MFA is number one Ministry,” diplomat Ara Papyan, head of Modus Vivendi analytical center, said.
According to him, during various events the Defense Minister has assumed some diplomatic mission, “Under passiveness of Foreign Ministry the Defense Minister was spreading some activity not only through military attachés, but also meetings with Ambassadors, invitations and etc., which is within liabilities, responsibilities of the Foreign Minister. Vigen Sagsyan’s appointment will increase this diplomatic component in Defense Ministry, i.e. obviously he’ll be busy not only by internal, but also by more expanded diplomacy.”
To the question whether Vigen Sargsyan will be able to fight against corruption and warn corrupt generals, he replied, “Vigen Sargsyan’s not being from the system is better. He’s from outside, and obviously, Serzh Sargsyan should pursue some policy through Vigen Sargsyan, i.e. he takes that Ministry under his direct control. Some time ago it was connected with Kutoyan, when there were security issues, I think, Vova Gasparyan will be the next, but this—after the elections, as blood will be shed after that, and it will be implemented by hands of Vova Gasparyan, then they’ll dismiss him, and another young man will come, i.e. in all those Ministries Serzh Sargsyan will appoint young men loyal to him.”
To the clarifying question, that a dangerous statement was made: why he supposes that blood will be shed after elections, he replied, “Numerous violations will be recorded, people will rebel, the authorities don’t have another means to calm people down, than using pressure.”
To the observation, maybe they’ll pray again, he said, “I don’t think, this time it’ll have such an ending, as not observing any peaceful way of regime change, greater part of the society is getting disappointed and migrates, small part is becoming more extremist and attempts to undertake some measures. That means sees what the authorities use against them.”
