How much salary did Karen Karapetyan earn prior to being appointed as the PM?
The Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia has already issued declarations of property and income of Armenian PM Karen Karapetyan and newly appointed Ministers as from the moment of assuming their positions.
As of September 13 Karen Karapetyan declared USD 3.7million, EUR 850 thousand, AMD 120 million and RUB 55 million.
On the whole, financial means of Karen Karapetyan comprise USD 5 million 783 thousand.
Besides financial resources, Karen Karaeptyan also declared a share amounting AMD 50 million (the company isn’t mentioned), 2 cars—LEXUS LX 470 and TOYOTA LAND CRUISER 100 4.5 I, 4 apartments and 1 summer house.
What incomes did the PM had and from which sources?
Karen Karapetyan stated income in 6 different lines as payment of work and/or payments equal to it (premiums are also included). Accordingly, he received salary comprising RUB 70 million 850 thousand. As other income he also declared AMD 32.9 million.
Income declared as salary is in Russian rubles. Prior to being appointed as the PM, Karen Karapetyan was the first Vice President of Gazprombank OJSC and parallel to it the Deputy Director General of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz JSC.
Thus, it may be concluded that the PM received salary and premiums from these two companies.
Income obtained from January 1st of the year of assuming official liabilities are included in the declaration as well, in case of Karen Karapetyan from 1 January 2016 to September 13. Throughout 8.5 months the PM received salary comprising RUB 70.8 million.
It turns out, that average monthly payment comprised RUB 8.33 million (USD 132.5 thousand or AMD 62.8million). The PM received this salary from the 2 companies, however, detailed information isn’t provided.
It should be noted that monthly salary of Armenia’s PM comprises about AMD 900 thousand.
