Serj Tankian to take part in 2017 parliamentary elections as observer
A number of famous Diaspora-Armenian cultural figures will arrive in Armenia to take part in the 2017 parliamentary elections as observers.
Serj Tankian told about this at the joint press-conference via Skype with Canadian Armenian actress, producer Arsinée Khanjian and actor Hrant Tokhatyan .
Serj Tankian, Arsinée Khanjian and Atom Egoyan and other prominent figures have initiated “Justice in Armenia,” purpose of which is contributing to democratic changes in Armenia.
American-Armenian rock musician, founder and soloist of “System of a Down” group Serj Tankian said via Skype that the Diaspora-Armenians are quite separated from Armenia’s economic, political life. “The Diaspora-Armenians do have sufficient understanding on the events in Armenia,” Tankian said.
