On account of what has export from Armenia grown?—the Minister clarifies

Suren Karayan, RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments, stated at today’s press conference that export growth is a record—in the fourth quarter it’ll comprise 25%, and by year’s result—around 21%.

In reply to the question of 168.am which part of that growth is provided due to Armenian production, as there are many cases, when production imported from third countries are exported to EEU countries and it’s showed as export, S.Karayan assured, that the growth is conditioned by increase of our production volumes.

“Our production growth edifies it. Upon our anticipations we’ll conclude the year with 7% growth, which edifies that industry has grown,” the Minister said.

According to him Armenia has a big potential for export to UAE as well, “This is a market with big and wide possibilities, and it has great potential to increase our export volumes.”

S.Karayan stated to maintain export temps next year procedures should be maximally simplified, a program will be introduced to the exporters on GDP return mechanisms simplification and reduction of deadlines, so that exporters may easily and quickly get back their VAT amounts.
