Statistics issues growth rate for 2016—0.5%
National Statistical Service of Armenia today issued initial macroeconomic indices for January-December 2016.
Economic activity in 2016 has grown by 0.5% compared with 2015. The snapshot for a month is as follows: in December 2016 EAI has decreased by 0.1% compared with 2015, and has grown by 17.9% compared with November 2016.
Industrial production growth has grown by 6.7% in January-December 2016, thus, comprising AMD 1 trillion 429 billion.
Growth temp in the field of service is higher—7.1%, volume of which comprises AMD 1 trillion 265.2 billion.
Agriculture ended 2016 with 5.2% decline: production volume in 2016 comprised AMD 907.5 billion.
Construction has recorded a double digit decline in 2016—10.8%, volume of construction implemented last year comprised AMD 397.7 billion.
Internal trade turnover volume comprised AMD 2 trillion 233.6 billion in 2016, which is higher by 1% from the index of 2015.
