“The current issue is that he has many supporters, who like his this idea, and the other part of the society doesn’t like, as a result of which the country has been divided into two parts, and it isn’t clear what the developments are going to be like,” Harut Sassounian said.
“This issue has always been under his control, throughout these years Armenia-Turkey relations have been influenced by the policy pursued by Erdogan, thus, I consider results of the forthcoming elections won’t influence on Armenia-Turkey relations.”
The expanded meeting specifically discussed the proposal of the Armenian side to set up an Armenian-Russian investment fund with a view to funding Armenia’s priority economic sectors.
According to Voskanyan, Turkmenistan is among the world’s five leaders in terms of gas resources and is an important actor. However, it has issues in resource export.
“On presidential level Iran stated in Yerevan that this project is realistic. The only issue of the project is seeking finances, and if it fails today, it doesn’t mean that it won’t succeed tomorrow. Particularly, when according to experts the project is possible to implement within a small budget.”

“We confirm our commitment to the principles of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity. We express our confidence that there is no military solution to the Syrian conflict. The conflict settlement is possible only through a political process based on the implementation of the UN Security Council Resolution 2254,” he said.
In addition, a memorandum of cooperation and the 2016-2021 inter-regional cooperation program have been signed between the ministry of industry and trade of Russia and the ministry of economic development and investments of Armenia.
“We had a rather constructive reflection from the Armenian side, and we hope in the forthcoming weeks and months that negotiations of the priorities of the partnership will also be finalized.”
