Secretary Tillerson qualifies Trump-Putin phone talk ‘very constructive’
US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had a very constructive phone conversation and discussed indetail a number of issues, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said, Associated Press reported.
“It was a very constructive phone talk…Very, very positive talk, thorough exchange of views,” Tillerson said. “Let’s see what will happen.”
Trump and Putin held a phone conversation on May 2. Kremlin said Putin and Trump discussed the coordination of actions of Russia and US in fight against international terrorism, creation of preconditions for the launch of real settlement process of Syria and the situation in the Korean Peninsula. Both Presidents agreed to continue phone talks, as well as to organize a personal meeting in connection with the G20 summit in Hamburg on July 7-8.
