The community has over 5 thousand hectares of land which can be cultivated, half of which is in a dangerous zone. In some years, the Azerbaijanis had cultivated lands from their side and then quickly set it ablaze, and the re spread in the Armenian direction. The first ‘solar village’ is considered to be Lernamerdz community of Armavir.

The Cabinet dismissed Rafik Grigoryan from the post of governor of Gegharkunik province. Grigoryan has been elected to Parliament through the ruling party’s regional list. He was the governor of Armenia’s Gegharkunik province since June of 2012.
Voting for the Speaker at the National Assembly is over. Gagik Melikyan, chairman of the counting committee, said there are no null votes, 88 MPs voted for Ara Babloyan, and 12 against, and in favor of Edmon Marukyan nominated by “Yelk” bloc 12 MPs voted for, and 88 against.
“Different people speak by different anticipations, regarding what is discussed, but as long as there is no a published version, making anticipations would probably be the most improper policy,” he said.
