50 thousand security personnel to be on duty in France presidential elections
50 thousand police officers will be deployed for providing security during the second round of France’s presidential election, BFMTV reports.
According to Paris Police Department, 12 thousand cops will be deployed in the capital. 5 thousand of them will be on duty in the polling stations. Authorities say security personnel will be deployed in a way so that they can reach any point of Paris within a couple of minutes if necessary.
The second round of the election will be held on May 7.
