Escalation of tension observed on line of contact: 60mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers were used
Azerbaijani forces fired 60mm mortars (7 shells) and automatic grenade launchers (7 shells) on May 6, 7 and overnight May 8 in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact, the defense ministry of Artsakh told.
‘On May 6, 7 and overnight May 8 an escalation of tension was observed in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. Azerbaijani forces made over 160 ceasefire violations, firing more than 2600 shots from different caliber firearms at Artsakh’s military.
In the eastern direction of the line of contact, Azerbaijani forces fired 60mm mortars (7 shells) and automatic grenade launchers (7 shells) on May 7, in addition to rearms.
The Artsakh Defense Army remains in full control of the frontline and confidently continue their service. Currently the frontline situation is relatively calm,” the Artsakh military said in a statement.
