Jerry Brown reaffirms allocation of USD 1 million for construction of Armenian-American museum in Glendale
California’s Governor Jerry Brown has reaffirmed the allocation of the $1 million promised in June last year for the construction of the ArmenianAmerican museum in Glendale, reports “Asbarez” periodical, California State Senator Anthony Portantino’s office informed.
It was mentioned that in January of the current year the Governor had revised the budget of the State, and a number of programs, including the allocation of the sum for the construction of the Armenian-American museum had been frozen.
Anthony Portantino saluted the decision of restoring the allocation, stressing that the museum will pay much attention to the topic of the Armenian Genocide and implement educational programs of key importance for the region.
