8th suspect in connection with Manchester Arena bombing arrested
Greater Manchester Police said they have been carrying out searches at an address in the Withington area and a man has been arrested in connection with the Manchester Arena bombing in England on May 25, BBC reports.
Another man has been arrested in the Manchester area in connection with the investigation. This brings the total number of men in custody to eight. A woman who was arrested in Blackley on Wednesday evening has since been released without charge. The highest threat level, which is decided by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre – a group of experts from the police, government departments and agencies – has only been reached twice before.
