President Sargsyan chairs 26th session of Hayastan All Armenian Fund’s Board of Trustees

The 26th session of the Board of Trustees and local bodies of the Hayastan All Armenian Fund kicked off on May 27 in Yerevan. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is also the President of the Board of Trustees of Hayastan All Armenian Fund, chaired the session. The session was launched with the blessing of Catholicos Garegin II. After confirming the agenda, the President congratulated everyone on the 25th anniversary of Hayastan All Armenian Fund’s establishment.

“This is a significant jubilee in the context of the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity. The Fund continues to implement its exclusive mission. Through productive and targeted activities, the Fund also continues to enjoy our people’s trust and sympathy,”the President said. CEO of the Fund, Ara Vardanyan, reflected on the 25 year long path and mentioned that today we can speak about hundreds of kilometers long roads, hundreds of schools, kindergartens, hospitals, which have been built and are being built in Armenia and in Artsakh.

“Today I would like to draw your attention on two numbers: 700.000 donors and 500.000 stakeholders. I believe it is these two numbers which are the major evidence of the past 25 year long path. After all, building roads, hospitals or roads isn’t an end in itself. Our mission is to build our country with our own efforts,” Vardanyan said.

The session is currently underway. The agenda includes issues of presenting the audit commission and Grand Thornton audit organization, as well as the objectives of the Marathon 2017.
