Armenia improves positions in Global Competitiveness Ranking
The World Economic Forum published the Global Competitiveness Report 2016-2017, reports Armenpress. Armenia is ranked 79th in the list of 138 countries. Compared to last year, Armenia improved positions by three points. Last year the country was ranked 82nd.
The list is leaded by Switzerland, which is followed by Singapore and the United States. Netherlands is ranked 4 th and Germany 5 th in the list. Georgia is ranked 59th , Turkey is 55th , Iran is 76th.
Azerbaijan is ranked 37th in the Global Competitiveness ranking. The list is concluded by Chad, Mauritania and Yemen. The ranking is based on 12 main criteria: figures of macroeconomic situation of state structures, infrastructures, healthcare, education sectors, goods market, effectiveness of labor market, development of financial market, technological readiness, market volumes.
