Murder after wedding party; suspect arrested
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of 25 year-old young man’s murder were found, the suspect was arrested.
On September 4, 2017 at 01:20 a call was received informing that the resident of Yerevan Stepan Minasyan, born in 1992, with cut-pierced wound on the frontal surface of the chest was taken to “Erebuni” medical center where he died without regaining consciousness.
On the same day calls were received informing that two more persons were taken to “Erebuni” medical center; at 01:25 the resident of Yerevan, born in 1996, with contusion of closed tissues of the left shoulder, and at 02:50 Ye. Hayrapetyan, born in 1972, with cut-pierced wound on the frontal surface of the abdomen were taken to medical center.
It was found that the mentioned persons had sustained the bodily injuries during the same incident. A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Masis Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code and urgent investigatory actions were conducted to find the circumstances of the young man’s murder, as well as infliction of bodily damage to other two persons. Through investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that on September 3 the injured took part in a wedding party after which at about 00:10 in the yard of the restaurant the young man, born in 1996, stabbed S. Minasyan’s uncle Ye. Hayrapetyan. Noticing it S. Minasyan ran after him. S. Minasyan’s father also ran after them and found his son stabbed in the street 1 of Noragavit district and the son was immediately taken to hospital, however, his life could not be saved.
In the framework of the criminal case S. Minasyan and Ye. Hayrapetyan were found the injured party, the young man, born in 1996, was arrested.
Inspection of the site was conducted where bloodlike traces were found and taken. Forensic medical, forensic biological and forensic trace complex, forensic chemical examinations were commissioned.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
