Murder of 80 year-old resident of Ararat revealed
In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in Vedi Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee murder of 80 year-old resident of Ararat region was revealed, the motive was found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.
The body of 80 year-old resident of Vosketap village of Ararat region was found with traces of violence on September 6, 2017 in the yard of his house.
A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Vedi Investigative Division of Ararat Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, the 80 year-old man was found the injured party. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted to find the circumstances of murder, as well as the person having committed the alleged crime. As a result, actual data were obtained on the allegation that bodily injuries incompatible with life had been inflicted to the 80 year-old man by a young fellow villager, born in 1988, whose father was killed 23 years ago by the victim.
Pursuant to investigation data, on September 6, 2017 the 29 year-old resident of Vosketap village of Ararat region took part in the ceremony dedicated to the 40th day of death one of his relatives where he used alcohol. Then he visited his father’s grave after which at about 22:00 he went to the victim’s house. Meeting the 80 year-old man in the yard a row erupted during which the latter was inflicted bodily injuries with a spade and a pitchfork that were in the yard. The man died of bodily injuries he had sustained.
On the base of the obtained evidence the investigator made a decision to involve the 29 year-old resident of Vosketap village as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code and search was declared. The police were tasked to take measures to find and bring him to the investigative body.
The young man charged with murder was found today. Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
