IRI: 56% for My Step Alliance, 12% for Prosperous Armenia Party, 5% for Republican Party of Armenia
he International Republican Institute (IRI), in association with the Armenian Sociological Association, has conducted a public opinion survey in the Republic of Armenia. The surveys were taken between May 6 and 31 of this year with 1,200 eligible voters of the Republic of Armenia through the face-to-face inquiry method.
168.am presents several interesting data from the Political Parties and Government section in the results posted on the website of the IRI.
“For which of the following political parties would you vote if national parliamentary elections were held next Sunday? Which other party might you vote for if your first choice is not available?” In response to these questions, 59% said their first choice would be the My Step Alliance, and 6% said their second choice would be the My Step alliance. Prosperous Armenia Party received 12% as the first choice and 21% as the second choice. The Republican Party of Armenia was in third place with 5% as the first choice and 2% as the second choice. Bright Armenia Party and Dashnaktsutyun/Armenian Revolutionary Federation each received 4%, while the Sasna Tsrer Party received 1%.
Out of the surveyed, 10% didn’t vote for any political party as the first choice, and 34% didn’t vote for any political party as the second choice. Out of the participants, 5% didn’t have an answer for the first choice, and 15% didn’t have an answer for the second choice.
“For which of the following political parties would you never vote for?” Out of all the participants, 56% said the Republican Party of Armenia, 23% — Dashnaktsutyun/Armenian Revolutionary Federation, 12% — Bright Armenia Party, 11% — Prosperous Armenia Party, 10% — My Step Alliance, 2% — Sasna Tsrer, while 14% said “None”, and 11% said “Don’t know/No Answer”.
