National Security Service top brass hold meeting

Interim Director of the National Security Service (NSS) Colonel Eduard Martirosyan has chaired a meeting of the Board under the NSS Director.

Deputy Directors of the NSS and heads of the central and regional bodies were in attendance of the session, the NSS said in a news release.

Issues related to increasing efficiency of anti-corruption activities, implementing actions in a more coordinated manner, improving the level of cooperation with other bodies and neutralizing modern challenges and counteractions were on the agenda of the meeting.

Heads of divisions delivered reports on results of the NSS ant-corruption activities, existing problems and directions for solutions of obstacles.

Colonel Martirosyan recapped the reports and discussions and issued concrete orders to the heads of the central and regional bodies in the direction of a more broader involvement of the NSS in the universal combat against corruption in Armenia and coherent implementation of the work.

“At the same time E. Martirosyan gave strict instructions to heads of individual divisions for supervising the process of implementation of assignments and timely reporting the results,” the NSS said in the release.
