Police have gathered dossiers about two Constitutional Court judges’ extramarital affairs in attempt to get them to resign
According to 168.am, two of the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia will most likely be under strong pressure to resign over the next couple of days, and an attempt will be made to get them to publicly declare that they are “voluntarily” making use of the law on early retirement for judges of the Constitutional Court.
According to our insider of the law-enforcement system, the 7th Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia has gathered strictly personal data regarding those two judges, whose names will be announced over the next couple of days and are not disclosed for obvious reasons.
According to the same source, the 7th Department of the Police has obtained certain data regarding those judges’ extramarital affairs; with this information, the power structures of the country will try to blackmail those judges and threaten to send the data in the judges’ dossiers to their families and post them on the Internet, if the judges fail to resign within the coming week.
As hraparak.am had reported earlier, yesterday Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held a secret meeting with the heads of all power structures and gave them a week to solve the issue regarding the dismissal of the judges of the Constitutional Court.
Various scenarios for making the judges resign were considered, and the Prime Minister assigned to not spare even the family members, close ones and friends of the judges of the Constitutional Court.
Nikol Pashinyan has put Head of the Special Investigation Service (SIS) of the Republic of Armenia Sasun Khachatryan in charge of coordinating the process.
168.am found out that the power structures are secretly conducting external oversight over all judges. In addition, all possible areas of their movement and means of communication are also being overseen through surveillance cameras.
