“Engineering miracle” from times of Urartu Kingdom uncovered in Turkey
Archeologists uncovered a system of urban sewerage aging 2800 years in Turkish Van Province (historical Western Armenia) from times of Kingdom of Urartu.
As Arkeofili reports in the district of historical monument—Chavushtepe Castle—scientists totally investigated the underground gallery of pipe drainage, equipped a few centuries ago in Van Province.
Archeologists uncovered an extensive sewer system with the diameter of 1 meter. It was made of stones, thoroughly adjusted to one another and permeated to urban territory under the ground at considerable dimensions to the depth of a few elbows.
The scientists have already called it an engineering miracle.
