Alex Gevorgyan’s musical adaptations of the works of Komitas with renowned musicians
On June 10 at 20:00, the Komitas Chamber Music House will host the debut album presentation and concert of 12-year-old pianist and musician Alex Gevorgyan.
The album is entitled “Lus A” and features Alex Gevorgyan’s musical adaptations of seven works of Komitas. It also features some works performed with renowned musicians, including Arto Tunçboyacıyan, Artyom Manukyan, Miqayel Voskanyan and Tiezerk band. It took 12-year-old Alex almost four years to release this album.
Alex Gevorgyan studies in the Piano Department of P. I. Tchaikovsky Music School and is a student of Hasmik Ancharakyan. Alex’s teachers are also Merited Artist of the Republic of Armenia Armen Babakhanian and renowned composer Vache Sharafyan.
