Republican Party of Armenia and Armenian Revolutionary Federation Signed Agreement to Lay Foundation of Long-term Cooperation

Signing of a cooperation agreement between the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) lays the foundation for future long-term cooperation, RPA Vice-Chairman Armen Ashotyan said after the signing of the agreement in the Armenian President’s residence, during the briefing with reporters.

“Armenia’s political sector starts a new culture as this agreement is neither post-election coalition, nor pre-election alliance but it lays the foundation for future long-term cooperation which is based on common values and actions,” Armen Ashotyan said.

According to him, constitution adopted by referendum lays basis of social and political reforms, and it will be possible to implement the constitution by the signed voluminous documents.

ARF Supreme Council of Armenia representative Aghvan Vardanyan mentioned the cooperation agreement is a document that touches upon all aspects of life in Armenia. “It is also a road map where comparable goals of our political forces are included,” the political figure said, adding that he wishes other political forces to accept their cooperation not with animosity but by the approach to negotiate and find common solution. Aghvan Vardanyan also stressed that they assume the responsibility of governing the country.

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) signed a political cooperation agreement at the Armenian Presidential residence on February 24.
