“Armenia” Airline Purposes to Return Armenian Pilots Working Abroad
“Armenia” airline intends to regularly implement flights to RF cities, Tehran, Dubai, Prague, Tel Aviv, Kiev, Minsk, Barcelona, London. Tamaz Gaiashvili, shareholder of the company, told reporters at today’s press conference in Yerevan. In his words, the first regular flight will be launched on April 21 to Moscow, Tel Aviv, and then geography of flights will extend. “The airline will organize its works in a way that Armenia’s population were content, and prices weren’t very high. We strive to provide low prices for the people, who need this,” Tamaz Gaiashvili said.
According to Robert Hovhannisyan, Armenian shareholder of the company, “Armenia” airline will provide Armenian pilots and technical personnel the opportunity to return to Armenia and work in their company. As for price policy, Robert Hovhannisyan assured, that prices will be available, so that Armenia’s citizens buy tickets without any problem and travel to different directions.
Earlier the company informed that it’s going to launch flights costing USD 49, from Yerevan to Europe, CIS countries. To the reporter’s comment, that taxes aren’t included in that price, Tamaz Gaiashvili noted, that those tickets should be bought 2 months before the flight, they aren’t refundable, besides it, the price doesn’t include price for airport service either. According to Robert Havhannisyan, in case of adding airport tax, the cost for the ticket will comprise USD 100.
Shareholders—also informed that the airline until the end of the year plans to operate eight planes. “In the beginning of April we’ll have three planes, in June-July two more, and in the end of the year about 8 planes,” T.Gaiashvili said.
51% of company share belongs to Ashot Torosyan, 25%—to Robert Hovhannisyan, and 24%—to Tamaz Gaiashvili.
